Don't be scandalised- Just wanted to try the cool tool (rhyming words totally intended).
Ubi jus ibi remedium - that's what the title means.
How many times have you wondered what relevance does your course content have with practical life?
I have, a hundred times over. Seriously! would you really think about the angle of elevation of an aeroplane when it's passing over your head or solve a loooong derivatives problem regarding a bucket when you can just apply mensuration? Imagine yourself telling your kid that a leech is a hermaphrodite while an earthworm is not though they belong to the same biological family only when the poor kid is trying to enjoy the rain or trying to think the time a ball will take to come down according to the force of gravity and the velocity of the wind blowing . And why would you need calculus or vector algebra when all you want to do is be an innocent (or maybe not so innocent, depends on your perception of the noble profession) lawyer (as if they don't have things to do) and do you really think about atoms of washing powder nirma detergent tikiya nirma breaking down and engulfing and breaking the dirt molecules while you are washing clothes? Too much for the poor house-wife!
Now it might sound funny that after ranting for so long about the not-so-great education system in India if i say that some things do actually help you. Like when you read about constellations and one night you suddenly realise that you traced one it gives you an exhilirating sensation somewhere down the line. Or maybe when you read those long मुहावरा's (idioms) of yours in hindi and when you get to meet a friend of yours after a long time and you get to use the ईद का चाँद बन गए हो wala मुहावरा you feel nice. This might sound stupid and too childish but it's true. We just don't get in touch with ourselves to realise it. Ask a child, he'll surely let you know.
Now coming to the point. What is this ubi jus ibi remedium, the non-law freaks might wonder coz i am sure one or the other law teacher who unfortunately in our case was LH (here comes another name in the list of people already introduced) would have grilled it into the law-ies minds. It simply means there exists no remedy where there is no right i.e. without a right there exists no remedy. What i think is that leaving apart the physics and the chemistry of everything, it does apply in real life. Take for example relationships. Where CW doesn't have a right over TB does she have the remedy of an apology? Well, not unless CW you gains the right subsequently.
There, it's done. That's the whole post. You might not get a word out of it but the primary purpose has been fulfilled.
Ciao

LH does not have a gender according to PTSNSG law i.e. Poor Tortured Student's No Specific Gender Law which states that "There is no direct relation between the atrocities committed by a teacher and their gender. A teacher may it be a male or female inflicts the same amount of horror and pain on students irrespective of their gender."
